The Design Engineer is responsible for the concept design in pre-engineering, preparation of technical offer, detail engineering and preparation of machine operation manuals. This role involves working with various types of robots and automation technologies to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety in industrial or commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Engineering:
- Understanding the Customers requirement and generation of machine / system concept.
- Prepare comprehensive technical offers including costing and GA drawings for each project.
- Engage with customers during pre-engineering and post-engineering stages to make technical decisions. Collaborate with marketing for customer consultations when necessary.

- Post-Engineering:

- Conduct detailed engineering to ensure all aspects of the project are meticulously planned and executed.
- Ensure timely submission of General Arrangement (GA) drawings to meet project milestones and customer requirements.
- Calculations for selecting right bought out parts like geared motors, hydraulic cylinders, bearings, chucks and other clamping devises.
- Generation of manufacturing drawings specifying all the details like tolerances, surface finish, machining symbols etc.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to define requirements and deliver solutions on time and within budget.
- Identify potential risks associated with design activities and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.

- Documentation:





- Installation Commissioning Requirements Sheet - Develop detailed installation and commissioning requirements sheets to guide the implementation phase effectively.
- Pre-Trials Requirement Sheet - Define pre-trial requirements to ensure equipment readiness and optimal performance before production trials.
- Operation Sequence Documentation - Document operation sequences of machines to facilitate productive operation and troubleshooting.
- Machine Manual Preparation - Create comprehensive manuals for each machine, detailing operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Project Learning Sheet - Compile project learning sheets to capture insights, lessons learned, and best practices for continuous improvement.
- Annexures for Control Panels Document annexures for Control panel requirement based on the functionality of the system.

- Innovation and Improvement:

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotics and automation technologies.
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency, capability, and safety of robotic systems.
- Foster collaboration with other departments like production, procurement, and quality assurance to streamline processes and ensure seamless project Solid Work,Auto Cad,GDT,BOM,Drafting ,2D drafting, layout, and detailing
