Role Overview OrbitNexa is looking for an experienced AWS Backend Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing, implementing, and maintaining serverless backend infrastructure for enterprise-scale applications. You'll work on cutting-edge AWS technologies, collaborate with frontend and mobile developers, and contribute to building scalable, secure, and cost-effective backend solutions.

In This

Role, You Will Develop AWS Lambda functions using Node.js 20.x and TypeScript with efficient, scalable, and maintainable code

Design and implement DynamoDB tables, Global Secondary Indexes (GSIs), and optimize queries for performance at scale

Build REST APIs using AWS API Gateway and GraphQL APIs using AWS AppSync

Implement API authentication, authorization, versioning, and backward compatibility

Implement Step Functions for complex business workflows and state machines

Set up EventBridge rules, SNS topics, and SQS queues for event-driven architecture

Integrate payment gateways (Razorpay/Stripe/PhonePe) and third-party service integrations

Implement authentication flows using Amazon Cognito and role-based access control (RBAC)

Design and implement multi-tenant architecture authorization logic

Implement data backup, recovery mechanisms, and data archival strategies

Ensure data validation, sanitization, compliance, and audit logging

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented TypeScript code following best practices

Write comprehensive unit tests and integration tests using Jest

Implement comprehensive error handling,



logging, and monitoring

Optimize Lambda functions and DynamoDB queries for performance and cost

Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily standups

Document APIs, technical decisions, and collaborate with development teams

Work closely with Frontend and Mobile developers on API integration

Collaborate with DevOps for deployment and infrastructure needs

Stay updated with latest AWS services and serverless best practices To Be Successful You Will Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

3-5 years of professional experience in backend development

2+ years of experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB and serverless architecture

Robust proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+)

Experience with Node.js 20.x and asynchronous programming

Deep understanding of AWS Lambda: function development, configuration, optimization

Deep understanding of DynamoDB: table design, GSI optimization, query patterns, data modeling

Experience with AWS API Gateway: REST API setup, integration, authentication

Experience with AWS AppSync: GraphQL API development, resolvers, subscriptions

Experience with Step Functions: state machine design and implementation

Experience with EventBridge: rule configuration, event routing

Experience with SNS & SQS:



messaging patterns, queue management

Experience with Amazon Cognito: user pools, identity pools, authentication flows

Understanding of S3, CloudWatch, and other AWS services

Deep understanding of NoSQL database design and data modeling for scalable applications

Experience building REST APIs and GraphQL APIs

Understanding of API design principles and documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)

Proficiency with Git and version control workflows

Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha)

Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts

Understanding of serverless architecture patterns and event-driven architecture

Understanding of microservices patterns and multi-tenant architecture

Valid cloud certification in AWS (Mandatory)

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Experience with healthcare/healthtech domain (preferred)

Knowledge of Indian healthcare regulations and data protection laws (preferred)
