Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for an Automation Lead FTTx Design and Engineering professional. The role involves leading the automation of FTTx network design processes, developing and maintaining engineering workflows, and ensuring accurate, scalable fiber network designs. The individual will collaborate closely with design engineers, planners, and operations teams to standardize methodologies, optimize tools, and improve end-to-end delivery quality.

Responsibilities include monitoring project progress,



identifying opportunities for process improvement, implementing automation solutions, and maintaining compliance with technical and regulatory standards. The role also requires coordinating with global stakeholders, preparing documentation and reports, and supporting knowledge transfer and training initiatives within the team.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess solid expertise in FTTx network planning, design, and engineering, with hands-on experience in end-to-end fiber rollout projects.

Candidates should possess skills in automation and process optimization, including use of design tools, scripting, and workflow standardization to improve efficiency.

Candidates should possess capabilities in project coordination and stakeholder management, including tracking deliverables, aligning timelines, and communicating clearly with cross-functional teams.

Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying design issues, assessing risks, and implementing effective technical solutions.

Candidates should possess proficiency in documentation and reporting, including preparing technical specifications, process documents, and performance dashboards.

Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in engineering (telecommunications, electronics, electrical, or related field) and experience in telecom network design environments are beneficial.

Familiarity with global telecom standards, quality frameworks, and on-site delivery practices in large network transformation programs will be an added advantage.
