Role Description The Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in clinical psychology, mentoring students, and supporting their academic and career development. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and delivering lectures, leading seminars and practical sessions, supervising clinical placements or practicum work, and guiding student research projects and dissertations.

The role involves contributing to curriculum development, engaging in independent and collaborative research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and participating in departmental and university committees. The position requires active involvement in academic advising,



quality assurance processes, and outreach or extension activities that strengthen links between the university and clinical practice settings. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Amity University in Patna.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Psychology and specialized expertise in Clinical Psychology, with the ability to teach core and advanced topics.
- Demonstrated experience in University Teaching and Teaching, including lecture delivery, seminar facilitation, and student supervision.
- Proven track record in Research, including publications, conference presentations, and participation in funded projects.
- Experience in Curriculum Development, particularly in designing and updating clinical psychology programs in line with academic and professional standards.
- Relevant doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Evidence of effective mentoring of students and supervisees, including guidance on clinical skills, ethics, and professional development.
- Familiarity with contemporary pedagogical methods, assessment strategies, and use of educational technology in higher education.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and commitment to inclusive, value-based education.
- Eligibility as per applicable regulatory and university norms for appointment at the Associate Professor level.
- Experience in clinical practice, consultancy, or collaboration with healthcare settings is an asset.
