The Roles and Responsibilities-
- Lead the delivery of the Counterparty Classification Program, ensuring accurate classification and treatment of counterparties within the Financial Accounting framework.
- Assess and implement accounting impacts arising from counterparty classification changes, ensuring compliance with IFRS, accounting policies, and financial reporting requirements.
- Partner with Financial Control, Accounting Policy, and Finance Data teams to establish robust governance, controls, and data quality standards supporting financial reporting.
- Drive process and system enhancements to improve the integrity, consistency, and auditability of counterparty classification data used in accounting and financial statements.
- Manage programme governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management,
and delivery of finance change initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes aligned with Finance objective
Key Requirements:
- 8-14 years of counterpart classification experience primarily in Finance Accounting
- Strong experience in Financial Accounting, Financial Control, Accounting Change, or Finance Transformation within a banking setting.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, General Ledger processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting controls.
- Proven project management experience delivering complex Finance change programmes and influencing senior Finance stakeholders.
