Job Profile
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle:
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle at the plant (joining, confirmation, transfers, exits).
- Ensure timely processing of attendance, leave, shift schedules, and payroll inputs.
- Maintain employee records, personal files, and HR MIS.
Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory requirements such as: (1) Factories Act (2) Shops & Establishments Act (3) PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity (4) Contract Labour Act
- Coordinate inspections, audits, and statutory filings.
- Maintain statutory registers and documentation.
Industrial Relations (IR):
- Maintain healthy industrial relations at the plant.
- Handle workmen grievances, disciplinary matters, and domestic enquiries.
- Coordinate with unions (if applicable) and manage negotiations in line with company policy.
- Ensure adherence to standing orders and disciplinary procedures.
Recruitment & Manpower Planning:
- Coordinate plant-level recruitment for workmen, staff, and contract workforce.
- Manage onboarding, induction, and deployment of new joiners.
- Coordinate with manpower contractors and ensure compliance.
Performance Management & Engagement:
- Support implementation of PMS and goal setting at plant level.
- Drive employee engagement activities, communication forums, and welfare initiatives.
- Organize training programs, safety awareness sessions, and skill development initiatives.
Contract Labour & Vendor Management:
- Manage contract labour attendance, compliance, and wage verification.
- Ensure contractor adherence to statutory norms and safety requirements.
- Conduct periodic audits of contractors and vendors.
Discipline, Culture & Policies:
- Ensure discipline, adherence to company policies, and code of conduct.
- Act as a bridge between plant employees and management.
- Support implementation of HR policies, SOPs, and corporate initiatives.
Must have
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance
- Hands-on experience in plant HR and IR
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle workforce issues sensitively and firmly
- HR MIS and documentation skills Contractor management
Qualification - MBA / MSW in Human Resources or Industrial Relations Experience – 5–12 years of experience in Plant HR / Factory HR Robust exposure to manufacturing / process industry Experience handling workmen and contract labour
