Role Description The Assistant Professor in Physiotherapy will be responsible for delivering lectures, practical demonstrations, and tutorials in physiotherapy and related subjects, aligned with the university’s curriculum and academic standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, supervising clinical and lab-based learning, evaluating student performance through assessments, and providing academic counseling and mentorship. The role involves contributing to departmental research activities, guiding student projects, participating in curriculum development, and engaging in academic events such as seminars and workshops.

Professor will collaborate with colleagues on quality enhancement initiatives, maintain academic records, and support accreditation and compliance processes.



This is a full time, in office role based at RIMT University in Punjab, India.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in physiotherapy principles, clinical practice, and evidence-based treatment approaches, with the ability to teach core and specialized subjects.

Competence in academic planning, curriculum delivery, and student assessment, including preparation of lectures, practical sessions, and evaluation tools.

Research aptitude, including the ability to design studies, guide student research projects, publish in academic journals, and participate in scholarly activities.

Effective communication, classroom management, and mentoring skills, with a student-centered approach and commitment to inclusive and ethical teaching.

Proficiency in basic educational technologies, learning management systems, and digital tools for presentations, content sharing, and online academic support.

Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (MPT) from a recognized institution; higher qualifications such as PhD in Physiotherapy or related field are preferred.

Relevant teaching or clinical experience in physiotherapy education or practice; prior experience in a university or college setting is an advantage.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary academic environment and contribute to departmental development and community outreach initiatives.
