The Role

You will teach across B.Com — one of Eastern UP's larger commerce programmes — and M.Com: financial and corporate accounting, business law, taxation, auditing and cost accounting, alongside applied work in Tally and spreadsheet-based accounting.

Many BITE commerce students prepare for CA, CS or CMA in parallel with their degree. Supporting that track is part of the role, not an extra. It means teaching to a standard that holds up when the same student sits a professional foundation paper three months later.

Full-time, in office at Babatpur, Varanasi.

Responsibilities Core teaching

Teach financial accounting and corporate accounting at B.Com and M.Com level — including company accounts, amalgamation, holding company accounts, and accounting standards

Teach cost accounting and management accounting: costing methods, variance analysis, budgetary control, and decision-making applications

Teach auditing — principles, procedures, internal control, company audit, and audit reporting

Teach business law and company law papers as required by the MGKVP syllabus

Teach business economics, statistics, and quantitative papers where departmental need requires Taxation

Teach direct taxation at degree level under the Income-tax Act, 2025, which replaced the 1961 Act with effect from 1 April 2026 — including the Tax Year concept, the restructured section framework, and the Income-tax Rules, 2026

Teach GST — registration, supply, input tax credit, returns, and practical computation — with current provisions

Deliver practical computation exercises, not statute recitation. Students should leave able to compute a liability, not define a term.

Keep teaching material current as provisions change through the Finance Act cycle

Applied and practical sessions

Run applied sessions in Tally — company creation, voucher entry, inventory, GST configuration, and reporting

Teach spreadsheet-based accounting and financial analysis in Excel

Bridge classroom theory to practice: source documents, working papers, and the formats students will meet in a firm CA / CS / CMA support track

Align teaching with CA, CS and CMA foundation and intermediate syllabi so that degree study and skilled preparation reinforce rather than compete

Advise students on which professional route suits them, registration timelines, and realistic preparation schedules

Identify students with the aptitude for the professional track early and encourage them into it Assessment, research and mentoring

Set and evaluate internal assessments aligned to MGKVP examination patterns

Guide M.Com project work and dissertations

Mentor students toward banking and government examinations, professional courses, and higher study

Contribute to departmental research output and, where possible, publication

Contribute to departmental and institutional academic and co-curricular activities Qualifications Essential
