About your role
This is a fast-paced role within the Commercial Legal team, requiring high-quality legal analysis, risk assessment, and cross-border engagement. You will need a strong sense of commercial understanding, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work at pace with confidence.
Key aspects of your role include:
- Providing front-end legal support for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of procurement and commercial agreements, with particular emphasis on emerging technologies such as cloud services and GenAI.
- Interfacing directly with global stakeholders and advising on legal and compliance issues linked to onboarding third-party tech solutions or developing in-house capabilities, including those involving staff augmentation and temporary workforce arrangements
- Supporting cloud regulatory compliance work including review of new cloud/technology deployment requests, Cloud Regulatory Forum coordination, entity mapping and Local Compliance notifications.
- Collaborating with colleagues across functions and geographies to deliver pragmatic, business-aligned legal solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a variety of procurement and commercial contracts, including both technology and non-technology engagements such as Cloud Outsourcing Agreements, SaaS, IaaS, Software Licences, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Consulting and Facilities Agreements, Change Orders, and Data Processing Agreements.
- Support business and sourcing teams on onboarding third-party AI and GenAI solutions or developing these in-house, including IP, data, ethics, and regulatory considerations.
- Understand and interpret international Tech/Cloud Outsourcing regulations (ESMA, EBA, EIOPA, DORA, EU AI Act, GDPR, DPDP Act, etc.) and apply them to contracts.
- Review new cloud and technology deployment requests, coordinate with TRAO and Local Compliance on regulatory notifications and applicability assessments, and support Cloud Regulatory Forum processes.
- Collaborate with procurement to resolve legal and commercial issues and maintain compliance with company policies.
- Provide legal advice on matters related to existing procurement contracts and ongoing supplier service engagements, including amendments, renewals and terminations.
- Research and stay current on emerging technology developments (AI, GenAI, blockchain, cloud, crypto, open-source software) and proactively assess their impact on commercial contracts and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare presentations, guidance notes and knowledge materials on emerging tech and related legal / regulatory themes for the team, sourcing and business stakeholders.
- Support legal operations including intake processes, AI contracts checklists, and contribute legal tech-advisory.
- Pursue relevant professional development including certifications, seminars and external sessions on data privacy, emerging tech regulation and related areas.
- Demonstrate adaptability, collaboration, and a proactive approach in all interactions.
About you In this role you will be required to have:
- LLB with 5–6 years of relevant experience, preferably in an in-house role within a multinational organisation (Financial Services, Asset Management, or Information Technology industries preferred).
- Experience in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts across both technology and non-technology engagements, including cloud services (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), outsourcing, software licensing, market data, consulting, facilities, and profeesional services (staff augmentation, consulting etc.).
- Working knowledge of cloud outsourcing regulatory frameworks (e.g., ESMA, EBA, DORA) and their application to technology contracts.
- Familiarity with current technology trends such as AI, GenAI, platform integration, data processing, and their legal and regulatory implications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent judgment; business sense.

- Experience working on cross-border contracts and international engagements.

- Experience with contract management systems, e-signature platforms, and other legal technology tools is desirable.
- Research-oriented and self-driven – ability to independently learn about new technologies, understand their contractual and regulatory implications, and translate that into practical guidance for stakeholders.
- Comfortable presenting complex tech/regulatory topics to non-legal audiences using presentations, diagrams and practical examples.
- Demonstrated adaptability, collaboration, and a proactive approach.
