What you ll do

- Support the Director of Finance in the day-to-day management of the Finance department, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, management reports, forecasts, budgets and financial analysis.
- Monitor daily income audit, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general cashier and general ledger functions to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and month-end closing activities to maintain the integrity of financial records.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital and cost control initiatives while identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with operational departments to analyse business performance, control costs and support commercial decision-making.
- Assist with internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit observations.
- Support the Director of Finance in developing, coaching and motivating the finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Qualifications

- Previous experience as an Assistant Finance Manager, Finance Executive or Senior Accountant within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Professional qualification in Accounting or Finance or a Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
- Robust knowledge of hotel accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, taxation and internal controls.
- Experience with hotel PMS, ERP/financial systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of financial procedures and Sun System, or similar hotel financial applications will be an advantage. This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
