We’re Hiring: Assistant Manager – Exports

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Assistant Manager – Exports with strong experience in export merchandising within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in managing international customers, new product development, commercial costing, order execution, production coordination, and ensuring timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently manage international customer accounts from enquiry through shipment.
- Lead new product development activities by coordinating with customers and internal teams.
- Prepare product costings, commercial proposals, and support price negotiations.
- Develop and monitor Time & Action plans for product development and production milestones.
- Coordinate with planning, procurement, production, quality, packaging, and logistics teams.
- Monitor production progress and material availability while proactively resolving delivery bottlenecks.
- Manage sampling, product approvals, engineering changes, and customer communication.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, testing requirements, and export documentation.
- Prepare order status reports, business updates, and review dashboards.




- Identify growth opportunities within existing international customer accounts.
- Drive continuous improvement in merchandising processes, customer service, and operational efficiency.

Skills and Competencies

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination abilities
- Sound understanding of export merchandising, manufacturing, and supply-chain processes
- Hands-on experience in product costing and commercial negotiations
- Solid planning, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple development and production projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and reporting tools
- High ownership, accountability, and customer orientation

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, Commerce, or a related discipline
- Qualification or certification in Export Management or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage

Candidates should have 6–7 years of relevant experience in cookware, kitchenware, homeware, consumer durables, or a similar manufacturing industry, along with experience handling customers across the USA, Europe, and other international markets .
