Role Description The Software Asset Management Administrator will oversee the full lifecycle of software assets, including procurement, inventory, usage tracking, and retirement, to ensure compliance and optimal utilization. This full-time, on-site role based in Mengio will maintain and update software asset management tools and databases, reconcile license records, and prepare regular reports on license positions, costs, and risks.
The role will work closely with IT, procurement, finance, and business stakeholders to support audits, negotiate renewals, and implement policies and procedures that align with organizational standards.
The administrator will monitor compliance with vendor agreements, identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, and help standardize software usage across the organization. Additional responsibilities may include contributing to software governance frameworks, supporting IT asset discovery initiatives, and assisting with user training on asset management practices.
Qualifications
- Experience with software asset management practices, including license tracking, compliance monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Robust skills in working with asset management and IT service management tools, as well as maintaining structured databases or spreadsheets.
- Ability to interpret software contracts and licensing models, and collaborate with procurement and finance on renewals and cost optimization.
- Solid understanding of IT environments (e.g., desktops, servers, cloud applications) and how software is deployed, inventoried, and supported.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and supporting internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site in Mengio, manage multiple priorities, and follow standardized processes and controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Prior experience in software asset management, IT asset management, procurement, or licensing administration is highly beneficial.
