Associate - Legal Compliance

About The Role:

We are expanding our legal and compliance team and are looking for advocates or legal professionals ready to grow with a firm doing meaningful, specialist work. The primary focus of this role is POSH law compliance advisory and client engagement across our POSHequili vertical. Prior experience in POSH is not required; we will train the right person. What we cannot train for is legal rigour, research depth, and the ability to communicate with confidence and clarity.

You will work closely with our founding partners and senior leadership team, gaining exposure to complex, real-world mandates from day one. This is not a back-office role you will be client-facing, intellectually engaged, and expected to contribute substantively.

What You Will Do:

- Draft, review, and vet policies, legal documents, and compliance reports under the POSH Act and related laws
- Conduct legal research and monitor notifications, case law developments, and regulatory updates
- Support and assist in POSH compliance audits and redressal audits documenting gaps, preparing findings, and drafting recommendations
- Provide legal support and advice to clients, including interaction with authorities (District officers, NCW, government bodies) where required
- Manage client communication professionally responding to queries, coordinating deliverables, maintaining relationship continuity
- Support contract drafting and assist with negotiation where required
- Organizing training programs and awareness sessions by providing legally accurate content inputs

What We Are Looking For:
- LLB from a recognised institution, LLM is an advantage but not required
- Strong legal research and legal writing skills this is non-negotiable




- Ability to read, interpret, and apply statutory language with accuracy and confidence
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication in English; proficiency in the local language of your location is a meaningful advantage
- Client facing maturity composed, reliable, and professional in your interactions
- Organised and methodical able to manage multiple mandates without losing detail
- A genuine interest in workplace safety, gender law, or social justice this work is not incidental to us, and we want colleagues for whom it is not incidental either

Preferred - Not Required:

We will shortlist on the full picture. These are areas where relevant experience is a robust advantage:

- Prior exposure to POSH, POCSO, or RPwD legislation through practice, NGO work, advocacy, or academic focus
- Experience working with survivors, vulnerable communities, or in a child rights or disability rights context
- Background in activist, NGO, or public interest legal work alongside formal practice
- Lived experience as a person with disability or from a marginalised community welcome and valued; please share what you are comfortable sharing in your application
