Backend / API Developer Role Summary

The Backend Developer designs and implements secure, scalable APIs and services that power entitlement enforcement, impersonation workflows, audit logging, and reporting. The role heavily leverages GitHub Copilot as an agentic SDLC assistant, consuming specifications and architectural standards from the repository.

Key Responsibilities

- 2.5 to 5 years of experience.
- Design and implement entitlement engine and RBAC enforcement services
- Develop secure impersonation workflows with full auditability
- Build APIs for entitlement history, audit reports, and bulk operations
- Integrate with Azure AD B2C / external identity providers
- Implement fine grained authorization using claims based security
- Ensure all actions are logged and traceable (Sentinel ready)
- Write unit and integration tests with Copilot assistance
- Follow AI assisted spec driven development practices

Required Skills & Experience





- Backend development using .NET is must
- Exposure in Node.js
- REST API design and secure token validation
- Robust understanding of RBAC and authorization patterns
- Identity and federation experience (OIDC, JWT, claims)
- Azure services (App Service, Functions, SQL/Cosmos DB)
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or AI assisted development

Desirable Skills

- Event driven or async processing (bulk operations)
- Secure API design in regulated environments
- Experience implementing audit and compliance reportin
