Role Overview

Astral Adhesives is looking for a Store Officer to support day-to-day store operations at the Santej plant. The candidate will be responsible for handling material receipts, material issuance, inventory records, and basic store documentation while ensuring proper storage and identification of materials.

This is a junior-level position suitable for candidates with basic experience in stores, warehouse, inventory, or material management.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

- Handle day-to-day material inward and outward activities.
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against delivery documents.
- Issue materials to production and other departments as per requirements.

Material Identification & Storage

- Ensure proper identification, labeling, and storage of raw materials, packing materials, and finished goods.
- Maintain material traceability and organized storage practices.
- Follow FIFO guidelines for material movement.

Inventory Management





- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and stock records.
- Support physical stock verification and cycle counting activities.
- Report stock discrepancies to the reporting manager.

Documentation & System Entries

- Maintain inward, outward, and stock movement records.
- Perform basic entries in SAP or store management systems.
- Maintain proper filing of GRNs, challans, and store documents.

Coordination & Housekeeping

- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, QC, and Supply Chain teams for material requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping within the store area.
- Follow company safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.

Key Skills & Requirements

- Basic knowledge of Store Operations
- Experience in Material Inward & Outward Handling
- Understanding of Material Identification and Storage Practices
- Basic inventory management knowledge
- Working knowledge of SAP (preferred)
- Basic computer and MS Excel skills
- Positive record-keeping and documentation skills
