Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Odoo Manufacturing Functional Consultant to lead the functional implementation of Odoo ERP for a uPVC profile, door, and window manufacturing company.

The consultant will act as the bridge between business users and the development team, ensuring all business requirements are properly documented, implemented, tested, and delivered. The consultant will own the project from requirement gathering through successful handover.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis

- Understand end-to-end business processes.
- Gather and document functional requirements.
- Conduct workshops with stakeholders.
- Prepare Functional Requirement Documents (FRD).
- Recommend Odoo standard features and best practices.

Odoo Functional Implementation

- Design business workflows using standard Odoo wherever possible.
- Configure Odoo modules and validate business processes.
- Define manufacturing workflows, BOMs, routing, work centers, inventory, purchasing, sales, accounting integration, quality, maintenance, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing best practices.

Project Coordination

- Work closely with Odoo developers.
- Explain functional requirements to developers.
- Review development progress.
- Validate completed developments.
- Ensure developments meet business requirements.
- Track project milestones and timelines.
- Escalate issues and propose solutions.

Quality Assurance & Testing

- Prepare UAT scenarios.
- Perform functional testing.
- Identify bugs and enhancement requests.
- Coordinate bug fixing with developers.
- Verify all issues are resolved before deployment.

User Training & Go-Live

- Train key users and department heads.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Assist during Go-Live.
- Monitor post-Go-Live stabilization.
- Ensure smooth project handover.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Skills

- 5+ years of Odoo Functional Consulting experience.
- Robust knowledge of Manufacturing (MRP), Inventory, Purchase, Sales, Accounting, Quality, Maintenance, and CRM.
- Experience with Odoo v16, v17, v18, or v19.
- Experience in manufacturing industries such as uPVC, aluminum, furniture, plastics, extrusion, or similar.
- Ability to coordinate developers and business users.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.

- ERP Project Manager / Managing Director

The consultant will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered successfully by coordinating with business users and developers, validating all functional requirements, managing testing, and completing a smooth handover.
