Role Summary The Payroll Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing, statutory compliance, HRIS administration, payroll reporting, and employee payroll support. The role requires strong expertise in Indian payroll regulations, exposure to US payroll processes, advanced MIS reporting, and payroll system management.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Execute end-to-end monthly payroll processing for permanent, contractual, and temporary employees.
- Validate payroll inputs including attendance, leave records, overtime, incentives, bonuses, arrears, reimbursements, and statutory deductions.
- Ensure timely and accurate salary disbursement in compliance with company policies.
Statutory Compliance
- Manage and ensure compliance with PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS, Gratuity, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate monthly and annual statutory filings and reconciliations.
- Stay updated with changes in payroll regulations and labor laws.
HRIS &
- Payroll Systems
- Manage employee master data and payroll records within HRIS platforms.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality across payroll systems.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives related to payroll operations.
MIS &
- Reporting
- Prepare payroll dashboards, MIS reports, headcount reports, cost reports, and management analytics.
- Conduct payroll reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Provide payroll metrics and insights to HR and Finance stakeholders.
Employee Support
- Address employee queries related to salary processing, tax deductions, payslips, reimbursements, and advantages.
- Process Full &
- Final Settlements (F&F;) for exiting employees.
- Support annual tax declaration, tax computation, and Form 16 issuance.
Audit &
- Compliance
- Support internal and external payroll audits.
- Maintain payroll documentation and records for audit readiness.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, payroll controls, and compliance standards.
Required Skills &
- Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Indian Payroll Processing and Statutory Compliance.
- Good understanding of US Payroll processes and payroll governance.
- Hands-on experience in payroll platforms such as GreytHR, Darwinbox, SAP SuccessFactors, or equivalent HRIS systems.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Analysis, and Reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information.
