Job Description of Assistant General Manager (AGM) Information Technology (IT)

Position Summary
GrowthSpirit is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager (AGM IT) to lead the organization's IT function independently and drive its technology roadmap. The incumbent will be responsible for managing enterprise-wide IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, networks, cloud platforms, Microsoft 365 workplace, ERP/business applications, end-user support, and digital transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in both IT Hardware Infrastructure and Software Systems, with mandatory hands-on experience in Fortinet Security Solutions and Microsoft 365 Administration. The individual must have a proven track record of independently handling the IT department and leading technology strategy across multiple locations and business functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute the organization's IT Roadmap aligned with business objects.
Lead all IT operations, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives.
Provide strategic guidance to management on technology investments and innovations.
Establish IT governance, policies, procedures, and best practices.
Prepare annual IT budgets and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
2. Infrastructure Management
Manage and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure including Servers, Storage systems, Data centres, Network devices, End-user computing devices, Printers and peripheral, ensure optimal uptime, reliability and scalability of IT services, Plan and execute IT infrastructure upgrades and modernization projects.

Network & Security Management
Design, implement, and administer LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
Manage network security, firewalls, and access controls.
Hands-on administration of Fortinet Firewall Solutions (Mandatory)
Monitor security incidents, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities.
Implement security policies, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention measures.
Conduct periodic security audits and compliance reviews.
4. Microsoft 365 Administration (Mandatory)
Administer and manage: Microsoft 365 Tenant, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Intune Device Management, Manage user provisioning, licensing, authentication, and security policies.
Implement Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls.
Lead migration, integration, and optimization projects related to Microsoft technologies.
5. Software & Applications Management
Manage ERP, HRMS, Payroll, CRM, and other business applications.
Coordinate with vendors for software implementation and support.
Ensure application availability, security, and performance.
Evaluate new technologies and software solutions to improve operational efficiency.
6. IT Operations & Service Delivery
Lead IT support functions and ensure timely resolution of user issues.
Establish service-level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.
Ensure effective IT asset management and license compliance.




Create and maintain IT documentation and knowledge repositories.
7. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Ensure data backup, recovery, and security measures are regularly tested.
Minimize operational risks arising from system failures or cyber incidents.
8. Vendor & Project Management
Manage relationships with OEMs, service providers, and technology partners.
Lead IT projects from planning to successful implementation.
Negotiate technology contracts and monitor vendor performance.
9. Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with applicable IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate internal and external audits related to IT systems and data security.
Implement risk management controls and mitigation plans.
Educational Qualifications B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. MCA / MSc (IT) may also be considered.

Certified Information Security Certifications (Preferred)
Experience
Minimum 15+ years of progressive IT experience
Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role managing IT operations independently.
Proven experience leading enterprise IT functions and technology transformation initiatives.
Experience handling multi-location IT environments.
