Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Accounts Manager to oversee the complete accounting and finance operations of our e-commerce and retail business. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in e-commerce accounting, marketplace reconciliations, GST, TDS, Tally Prime, financial reporting, MIS, and month-end/year-end closing.

The candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely books of accounts, statutory compliance, reconciliations, audits, and providing meaningful financial insights to management.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting &

- Financial Operations

- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for e-commerce, retail, and D2C business

- Supervise the complete accounting process, including sales, purchases, expenses, receivables, payables, and general ledger

- Review and ensure accurate accounting entries and supporting documentation

- Monitor vendor invoices, payments, customer collections, and outstanding balances

- Ensure timely month-end, quarterly, and year-end book closing

- Review and maintain proper accounting controls and processes

E-Commerce &

- Marketplace Reconciliation

- Manage and review reconciliation of Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Shopify, marketplaces, payment gateways, and other sales channels

- Reconcile sales, collections, commissions, returns, refunds, discounts, deductions, and settlements

- Identify discrepancies and coordinate with respective teams/platforms for timely resolution

- Ensure proper accounting of marketplace settlements and related charges

GST, TDS &

- Statutory Compliance

- Oversee GST workings, reconciliations, and timely compliance

- Ensure accurate preparation and filing of GST returns in coordination with consultants/internal teams

- Manage TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and returns





- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements

- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and statutory authorities whenever required

MIS &

- Management Reporting

- Prepare and review monthly MIS reports, P&L;, balance sheet schedules, cash flow statements, and management reports

- Provide management with regular reports on sales, expenses, receivables, payables, profitability, and working capital

- Analyse financial data and highlight key variances, risks, and areas requiring management attention

- Prepare business-specific reports and dashboards as required

Banking &

- Reconciliation

- Monitor bank transactions and ensure timely bank reconciliations

- Review payment and collection entries

- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements

- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for routine banking-related activities

Audit &

- Financial Closing

- Coordinate with internal, statutory, and tax auditors

- Ensure timely submission of audit schedules, supporting documents, and financial data

- Assist in preparation and finalization of books of accounts

- Ensure proper maintenance of ledgers, schedules, and supporting documentation

Team Management

- Manage and supervise the Accounts team

- Allocate daily/monthly accounting activities and monitor completion

- Review the team's work for accuracy and compliance

- Train and guide team members on accounting processes and systems

- Ensure accounting activities are completed within defined timelines

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience in Tally Prime and Tally Edit Log (mandatory)





- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance

- Strong understanding of e-commerce and marketplace accounting

- Excellent knowledge of bank, vendor, customer, and marketplace reconciliations

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel — VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF functions, SUMIFS, and other advanced formulas

- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Unicommerce, Zoho, SAP Business One, or similar platforms (added advantage)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Good understanding of P&L;, Balance Sheet, working capital, and cash flow

- Strong team management and coordination skills

Educational Qualification

- B.Com / M.Com

- CA Inter – Preferred but not mandatory

- CA / CMA qualification will be an added advantage

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 7–12 years of relevant experience in e-commerce, retail, or D2C accounting

- E-commerce accounting experience is mandatory

- Proven experience in managing an accounting team

- Strong experience in marketplace reconciliation and settlement accounting

- Capable of independently managing the complete accounting function

- Strong understanding of statutory compliance and audit processes

- Excellent communication and coordination skills

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

- Strong ownership and problem-solving approach

- Immediate joiners or candidates serving a short notice period will be preferred
