About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant with 3+ years of relevant experience to independently manage the organization's day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliances, payroll accounting, and financial record management. This is an individual contributor role that requires a solid sense of ownership, exceptional numerical accuracy, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting activities, ensuring timely statutory compliance, maintaining accurate financial records, and serving as the primary point of contact for external Chartered Accountants, auditors, banks, and statutory consultants. We are seeking a professional who is proactive, accountable, confident with numbers, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and integrity. Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the end-to-end accounting function, ensuring accurate maintenance of books of accounts in Tally.
Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions, journal entries, ledgers, and supporting documentation.
Prepare and reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, customer ledgers, and balance sheet schedules.
Manage monthly payroll inputs, employee reimbursements, statutory deductions, and payroll accounting.
Ensure timely preparation and filing of GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliances.
Prepare statutory challans, returns, and compliance documentation while ensuring adherence to regulatory timelines.
Monitor statutory due dates and ensure all compliance activities are completed accurately and within prescribed timelines.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external Chartered Accountants, auditors, banks, and statutory consultants by providing accurate financial records and compliance documentation.
Own month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure all financial records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
Maintain organized financial records, strengthen internal financial controls, and ensure confidentiality of financial information.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
3+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, preferably in an IT, technology, or service-based organization.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, statutory compliances, and financial documentation.
Hands-on experience with Tally and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with Chartered Accountants, auditors, banks, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Excellent numerical aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet statutory deadlines.
High level of integrity, accountability, and ownership in handling financial information.
