Trading Strategy & Execution

- Lead generation of actionable trading ideas including long/short opportunities, onshore/offshore arbitrage and roll strategies.
- Oversee execution using both algorithmic and non-algorithmic methods, ensuring strong controls and zero-error execution.
- Drive trading discipline, execution quality and risk awareness across the desk.

Liaising with Regulator & Exchanges

- Work closely with regulators, exchanges and relevant intermediaries in line with evolving business and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong external connectivity with market infrastructure participants.

Market Analysis & Reporting

- Monitor market trends and identify trading opportunities aligned with client interests.
- Oversee preparation and distribution of analytical and data-driven reports to clients.
- Maintain periodic MIS and dashboards for internal and client-facing reporting.

Client Engagement & Communication

- Manage senior client relationships and day-to-day interactions through Bloomberg, email and other communication channels.
- Strengthen client engagement to support client satisfaction, franchise growth and revenue generation.
- Partner with sales, dealing, compliance, operations and technology teams for seamless business delivery.

Required Skills

Market Knowledge: Strong grasp of financial markets, with focus on FPI and broking; deep understanding of market structures and trading dynamics.
Product Expertise: Strong proficiency across trading instruments; derivatives expertise is essential.
Analytical Acumen: Ability to analyse markets and guide client-facing trading reports and dashboards.
Client Management: Solid communication and relationship-building skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
Execution Excellence: Proven ability to identify opportunities and execute with precision under a strong control framework.
Networking: Strong network across regulators, exchanges and market intermediaries.
Leadership: Ability to lead the GIFT trading business, coordinate internal stakeholders and drive commercial outcomes.

Experience: Prior experience in trading or sales trading, especially in derivatives.

Core Competencies Required

8-10 years experience with a financial institution or professional firm, preferably a Broker, Bank or NBF
