Role & responsibilities :-

A. Enterprise Infrastructure & Hybrid Cloud Stewardship (40%)

Exercise end-to-end custody of the infrastructure estate data centre, physical and virtualised compute, storage fabric, enterprise networks and workplace technology across headquarters and plant.

Architect and govern the hybrid cloud estate, balancing on-premise workloads with cloud-native services; own capacity strategy, consumption economics and migration judgement.

Institutionalise resilience backup integrity, disaster-recovery preparedness, periodic DR rehearsals, and custody of RTO / RPO commitments.

Steer marquee infrastructure programmes: network backbone modernisation, compute refresh, cloud and DR site establishment, and plant connectivity augmentation.

Uphold the security posture in concert with the CISO agenda patching discipline, endpoint protection coverage, hardening standards, and time-bound closure of VAPT / ITGC observations.

B. Application Landscape & Operations Command (30%)

Orchestrate L1 / L2 support and AMS-partner delivery across SAP ERP, the HRMS platform, and plant-side systems spanning predictive maintenance, energy management and logistics intelligence.

Conduct the daily operational cadence morning health assessments, incident triage, problem governance, root-cause forensics and disciplined change management.

Assure the fidelity of integrations and interfaces between SAP and satellite platforms, with zero tolerance for data loss or latency.

Preside over enterprise service-desk operations at both locations, with white-glove attention to the senior leadership constituency.

Shepherd the rollout, acceptance testing and stabilisation of recent platforms and digital initiatives sponsored by the CIO's office.

C. Service Assurance, SLA & Partner Governance (30%)

Architect,



negotiate and enforce service-level frameworks across internal teams, AMS partners, OEMs and service providers; publish the monthly service-assurance scorecard.

Command the AMC lifecycle — renewals, commercial negotiations, recovery enforcement and partner performance adjudication.

Mature the ITSM discipline: ticket lifecycle governance, escalation architecture, knowledge codification and a standing programme of continual service improvement.

Author and present the monthly technology operations dashboard to the CIO and, when convened, to the MD / CXO forum.

Exercise fiscal stewardship of the operations budget — tracking expenditure against plan and surfacing optimisation opportunities.

Technology Mastery :-

Enterprise server administration across Windows and Linux estates, virtualisation platforms (VMware / Hyper-V) and enterprise-grade storage.

Hybrid cloud fluency (Azure / AWS / GCP) — infrastructure services, cloud networking, consumption governance and workload migration strategy.

Enterprise networking depth — routing, switching, perimeter security, VPN, wireless, and plant-floor (OT-adjacent) connectivity.

Considered appreciation of the SAP ERP landscape (Basis-level), HRMS platforms and manufacturing applications.

Command of resilience and governance tooling — backup / DR suites, endpoint protection (EDR / MDM), patch orchestration, and ITAM / ITSM platforms.

CREDENTIALS & PEDIGREE

B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT or Electronics; an MBA or credentials in ITIL, PMP or cloud architecture are distinct advantages.

Twelve to eighteen years of enterprise technology experience, including a minimum of five years commanding Application, infrastructure and operations within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Demonstrable stewardship of hybrid cloud operations and SLA-governed service delivery at scale.
