Summary:

A Team Lead for Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting manages the end-to-end asset lifecycle. They oversee capitalization, depreciation, and compliance with standards like IFRS 16 or ASC 842. Leads also mentor team members, drive month-end closes, and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.

Key Skills:

- Minimum 8 years of experience in Fixed Assets Accounting (Capitalization, Depreciation)
- Minimum 1 years of team handling experience
- Robust experience in Lease Accounting under IFRS 16 and/or ASC 842.
- Proven expertise in Month-end Close, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and Financial Reporting.
- Experience managing stakeholders and leading or mentoring teams is preferred.
- Any Graduate

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end Fixed Assets (FA) Accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, retirements, and asset reconciliations.
- Manage Lease Accounting activities in compliance with IFRS 16 and/or ASC 842, including lease recognition, remeasurement, modifications, and financial reporting.
- Own Month-end and Year-end Close activities, ensuring timely completion of journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables.
- Review and approve Balance Sheet Reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy, completeness,



and compliance with accounting policies.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and statutory audit requirements, while supporting internal and external audit activities.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, standardization, and financial control.
- Monitor SLA, KPI, and quality metrics, ensuring high accuracy, productivity, and timely service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, including workload allocation, performance management, coaching, and capability building.
- Manage stakeholder relationships by providing regular updates, resolving escalations, and collaborating with global finance and business teams.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks, implementing corrective and preventive actions where required.
- Utilize ERP systems (SAP/JDE) and workflow tools to manage Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting transactions effectively.
- Leverage Advanced Excel, Power BI, and reporting tools to analyze financial data, prepare dashboards, and support management decision-making.
- Support transition, migration, and transformation projects, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer and process stabilization.
- Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs, and process controls, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and audit requirements.
- Champion continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to optimize finance processes and deliver measurable business value
