JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR LIFESCIENCES ANALYST

Job Location: Kolkata, India

Position Overview: The Senior Life Sciences Analyst will play a critical client-facing consulting role, partnering with global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and CROs to solve high-impact business problems. This position combines domain expertise, analytical rigor, AI-driven innovation, and strategic problem-solving to deliver transformative outcomes across the Lifesciences value chain. The ideal candidate will bring deep consulting experience, strong analytical capabilities, a passion for emerging AI technologies, and the ability to engage senior stakeholders while driving end-to-end project delivery.

Academic Qualification:

- B.E., B.Tech/MBA from top-tier Engineering/B-School

OR

- Masters in any quantitative field from a leading University

Experience (Required):

- 810 years of overall professional experience
- Minimum 6 years of consulting experience with a reputed consulting organization serving Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or related sectors
- Proven experience owning and managing end-to-end project delivery
- Minimum 5 years of experience delivering AI, analytics, machine learning, or data science initiatives
- Demonstrated success working with multinational clients and cross-functional teams

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical business processes with knowledge of industry trends, regulatory considerations, and emerging digital transformation initiatives.




- Exceptional analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities with experience framing ambiguous business challenges into actionable work-streams
- Ability to translate AI outputs into actionable business recommendations.
- Proven experience managing senior client stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Robust communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels within and outside the organization
- Excellent presentation skills
- Good knowledge of AI related technology with exposure to Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) applications in Life Sciences.
- Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms and modern AI ecosystems will be preferred

Roles and responsibilities

- Support business development activities, including client workshops, solution presentations, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and RFP responses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and consultants, to work on various presales initiatives
- Work directly with multinational clients, using AI to solve real-world business problems.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to understand business objectives, define problem statements, and recommend strategic solutions.
- Translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights and executive-level recommendations.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to building Life Sciences and AI/Analytics capabilities within the organization.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in Life Sciences, AI, Generative AI, and advanced analytics to drive innovation and thought leadership.
