The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales through the team and various distribution channels, managing relationships with channel partners, and achieving sales targets. This role requires strategic planning, execution, and effective team leadership to enhance market presence and drive revenue growth.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement channel sales strategies to achieve overall business goals and targets.
- Sales Performance Monitoring: Analyze sales metrics and reports to track team performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to drive results.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain robust relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyal
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for growth.
- Compliance:
Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in sales operations. Ensure IRDAI compliance regarding licensing & commission payments to producers
- Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and motivate a team of tied agents to achieve and exceed sales targets while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Any Bachelors degree; MBA preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience required ; preferably in Motor insurance .

- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven track record of managing a sales team and achieving sales targets.
