Role Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated Policy & Research Associate to join our growing team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals interested in public policy, governance, politics and development.

You will support research, policy analysis, drafting and project execution across a diverse portfolio of assignments. The role requires intellectual curiosity, excellent writing skills and the ability to simplify complex policy issues into actionable insights.

Key Responsibities:

- Conduct research on public policy, governance, politics and socio-economic issues.
- Track government schemes, legislation, policy developments and political developments.
- Prepare policy briefs, research notes, presentations and background documents.
- Assist in drafting speeches, concept notes, reports and strategic documents.
- Analyse government data, budgets, reports and public datasets.
- Support project execution through coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Monitor national and state-level policy developments and identify emerging opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in public policy, political science,



economics, law, public administration, development studies, journalism, liberal arts or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent research and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Robust attention to detail.
- Genuine interest in governance, public policy and politics.

Preferred:

- Prior internship or work experience with a government office, an elected representatives office, a think tank, a policy organisation or a newsroom.
- A dissertation, thesis or published writing on a policy or governance subject.
- Comfort working with government data, budget documents and public datasets.
- Familiarity with Maharashtras governance and policy landscape.
