There are two aspects to this role:

1) QA testing of the entire codebase,



so you will get great experience across a variety of exchange applications and financial product types.

2) Ongoing development of our existing reporting and test harnesses.

Our Technology

The reporting MIS Product Suite ForumMatch and the tools that we use to help automate testing are written in Microsoft Excel VBA.

The systems that that you will test against included GUIs in NodeJS, React and REST APIs and java services on our backend servers with communications between them in FIX. Our infrastructure runs on docker, Kubernetes and AWS.

Whilst experience in these technologies is needed, a quick mind and the aptitude and desire to learn are also of interest to us.

Role & responsibilities

A space has opened up in our agile development team for a sharp QA tester / VBA Developer. They will be instrumental in designing the tools and QA procedures used within the team. This is very much a hands-on technical role with 90% of the time spent on design, development, automated testing and support for new features, components or systems.

Our experienced staff act as mentors and guides for the junior members of the team, helping them to progress to the next level in their career and can also expect the same support and encouragement from above.

Preferred candidate profile

- A passion to learn, understand, grow and teach
- Great Excel VBA skills (3+ years)
- Experience working in agile teams
- Understanding of QA and testing
- Passion for ensuring quality of our products
- Experience of REST APIs
- Ability to communicate both within the Technology team and to stakeholders
