EHS Lead Project Sites (Data Centre / MEP Projects)

Location: Navi Mumbai

Experience: 10–15 Years

Education: B.E./B.Tech / Diploma in Engineering with recognized Safety Qualification (ADIS, PDIS, NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced EHS Lead to drive Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives across project sites. The role will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving EHS systems to ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, statutory regulations, and industry best practices. The position plays a critical role in fostering a strong safety culture, preventing incidents, and ensuring safe execution of construction and MEP activities.

Candidates with Data Centre project experience will be preferred; however, experience in large industrial, commercial, infrastructure, or MEP projects will also be considered. Exposure to MSP (Microsoft Project) software will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and safety management systems across project sites.
- Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, client requirements, and company EHS standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
- Lead incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor high-risk activities including work at height, lifting operations, electrical works, confined space entry, hot work, and heavy equipment operations.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, safety training programs,



and awareness campaigns for employees and contractors.
- Develop and maintain safety documentation, permits, registers, compliance records, and audit reports.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and client representatives on all EHS-related matters.
- Track safety KPIs, prepare EHS reports, and present safety performance updates to management.
- Drive behavioral safety initiatives and continuously improve safety culture across project sites.
- Ensure emergency preparedness, mock drills, and implementation of emergency response plans.
- Support project planning teams in integrating safety requirements into execution schedules and methodologies.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 8–15 years of EHS experience in construction, MEP, industrial, infrastructure, or Data Centre projects.
- Robust knowledge of EHS regulations, risk management practices, permit-to-work systems, and safety compliance requirements.
- Experience in managing contractor safety and large project-site workforces.
- Good understanding of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and industry safety standards.
- Experience in conducting audits, incident investigations, and safety training programs.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with MSP (Microsoft Project) software will be an advantage.
