Position: Business Finance Controller (Leading MNC Manufacturing Co)
Job Summary:
- The Company is seeking an analytical and highly strategic Business Finance Controller to oversee business finance performance across plant operations, supply chain and sales. The position leads the business finance function of the organisation and is a member of the extended leadership team of the business.
- In this role, you will bridge the gap between traditional accounting plant metrics and commercial business strategy. You will partner closely with the leadership team across operations, supply chain and sales teams to optimize efficiencies and control costs while maximising sales pricing to drive long-term strategic profitability.
Role:
- Business Partnering
- - Working closely with management and stakeholders and assist in developing business strategy
- - Work Closely with Sales team and drive revenue growth through market analysis, competition intelligence and Industry understanding
- - Partner with supply chain and commercial teams to analyze product margin mix and raw material cost fluctuations
Budgeting & Forecasting
- - Lead annual budgeting processes across all locations and departments
- - Lead the rolling forecasts, and capital expenditure (CapEx) evaluation workflows
- - Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective action plans
- - Model complex financial scenarios to support strategic decisions
Financial Reporting
- - Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- - Present financial performance metrics to executive leadership teams
- - Track key performance indicators to measure business health
- - Ensure timely closing of monthly and fiscal accounting periods
Audits & Compliance
- - Manage internal audits and work closely with Shared service teams for other audits
- - Enforce strict adherence to accounting standards
- - Maintain robust internal control systems to mitigate financial risk
- - Oversee all the statutory compliance requirements
Systems & Automation
- - SAP for financial data
- - Automate repetitive accounting workflows to increase team efficiency
- - Integrate financial software tools to improve data accuracy
- - Power BI, Power Query and Presentations using AI tools
Requirements:
- Academic Qualification: CA in first attempt
- Minimum Work Experience: 12 to 15 years of experience of which atleast 5 years is spent working in a plant environment
- Customer First attitude with a flair for understanding and interacting with customers
- Mastery of ERP tools - SAP
- Expert proficiency with financial modeling using advanced data analysis toolsets (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power BI)
- In-depth understanding of standard costing methodology and global accounting standards like GAAP or IFRS
- Solid business acumen with the confidence to challenge and influence non-finance operational leaders
- Exceptional team management capabilities to guide and mentor on-site accounting professionals
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
