Role Overview

We are seeking a commercially driven and analytically robust Sr. Manager – Business Finance & FP&A; to partner with business leadership in driving financial performance, profitability, and strategic decision-making. This role is focused on translating financial data into actionable business insights by connecting financial performance with operational and market dynamics.

The role will lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cash flow planning, and business performance reporting while proactively identifying financial risks and opportunities. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to interpret Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and cash flow trends, understand the underlying business drivers, and recommend actions that improve business performance.

This role is focused on business finance, financial planning, and performance analysis. Ownership of statutory accounting, financial closing, taxation, audits, and regulatory compliance remains with the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Business Performance

- Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
- Analyze monthly financial performance, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and cash flow movements.
- Perform detailed variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods, identifying key financial and operational drivers.
- Conduct root cause analysis for over-budget and under-budget performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Connect financial performance with business operations, customer trends, market conditions, and commercial activities to explain performance beyond the numbers.
- Partner with department heads to improve profitability, optimize costs,



and support data-driven decision-making.

Business & Market Insights

- Monitor external market trends, industry developments, and commercial factors that may impact business performance.
- Translate market intelligence into financial implications and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Evaluate pricing, margins, business initiatives, and investment opportunities through financial modelling and scenario analysis.

Cash Flow & Working Capital

- Own cash flow analysis and rolling short-term cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor working capital, liquidity, receivables, payables, and inventory trends, highlighting potential risks and improvement opportunities.
- Support leadership in maintaining healthy cash flow and optimizing working capital.

Risk & Strategic Decision Support

- Proactively identify financial risks and business opportunities over the next 3–6 months against budget and forecast.
- Present forward-looking financial insights, scenarios, and recommended actions to senior management.
- Prepare dashboards and management reports with meaningful business commentary rather than only reporting financial results.
- Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
- Coordinate with the Group CFO and finance teams on management reporting and business performance reviews.

Mandatory Requirements

- Chartered Accountant (CA), preferably cleared in the first attempt.
- Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in Business Finance, FP&A;, Commercial Finance, or Strategic Finance.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, management reporting, and business partnering.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, cash flow statements, and key business KPIs.
- Experience conducting variance analysis and translating financial results into business insights and actionable recommendations.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to partner with business leaders and influence strategic decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and financial reporting tools.
