Job Title: Senior Merchandiser Denim Apparels

Job Summary

The Senior Merchandiser – Denim Apparels will be responsible for managing the end-to-end merchandising process for denim products, from order development to final shipment. The role requires strong coordination with buyers, production, sourcing, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery, cost control, and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle complete merchandising cycle for denim apparel from sampling to shipment.
- Communicate regularly with buyers and clients regarding product development, order status, approvals, and timelines.
- Coordinate with design, sampling, and product development teams for sample execution and approvals.
- Work closely with fabric and trims suppliers to ensure timely sourcing and availability.
- Prepare costing, order sheets, and production plans.
- Monitor production status and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and buyer specifications.
- Coordinate with washing units, embroidery units, and finishing teams for denim processing.
- Maintain all merchandising documentation,



including TNA (Time & Action calendar), purchase orders, and approvals.
- Liaise with QA, logistics, and shipping teams for final inspection and dispatch.
- Resolve production or sourcing issues to avoid delays.
- Maintain strong relationships with buyers, vendors, and internal teams.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in apparel merchandising, preferably in denim garments.
- Experience working with international buyers and export houses preferred.

Key Skills

- Strong knowledge of denim fabrics, washes, and garment construction.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of production planning and costing.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and merchandising software.
- Solid problem-solving and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience handling US / European buyers.
- Knowledge of denim washing processes and compliance standards.
