Role Summary

We are seeking a senior and hands-on Resource Manager to lead workforce planning and optimize resource deployment across the organization. In a energetic IT services environment, this role is crucial to maintain a healthy 90:10 billable-to-non-billable ratio, ensure effective bench management, lateral hiring and integrate talent coming through our in-house Academy program into delivery engagements.

The ideal candidate should possess the maturity to understand business-critical priorities, combined with the agility to engage at both strategic and operational levels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Bench Management & Deployments

- Maintain a real-time view of all the team members across projects and managed services engagements categorized by billable, non-billable, and academy trainees.
- Oversee onboarding, internal movements, and project roll-offs with minimal idle time.
- Work with Delivery leads to prioritize allocation based on project urgency, skill alignment, and client requirements.

2. Billability Management

- Drive the organization toward a 90:10 billable-to-non-billable ratio.
- Identify underutilized resources and proactively redeploy or upskill them.
- Ensure accountability for non-billable resources and align them to short-term billable assignments or internal projects.

3. Academy Talent Integration





- Work closely with the Academy team to track progress of trainees and plan their deployment as they complete the training and become productive.
- Map future project demands with upcoming Academy talent readiness to ensure smooth transition to billable roles.
- Monitor and improve the conversion rate of Academy members into productive, billable resources.

4. Demand-Supply Forecasting

- Collaborate with Sales, Delivery, and Recruitment to forecast demand and align talent supply accordingly.
- Share hiring priorities based on projected utilization and skill shortages.

5. Reporting & Governance

- Publish weekly dashboards with metrics on utilization, billability, bench, and Academy conversion.
- Drive monthly governance calls with leadership to highlight risks, gaps, and planning adjustments.
- Ensure systems (HRMS, timesheets, dashboards) reflect accurate, updated resource data.

Key Requirements

- Experience: 812 years in resource management in an IT services company.
- Knowledge: Exposure to resource planning across billable projects and internal capability building (Academy/in-house training).

- Skills:
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, reporting dashboards (Power BI or similar).
- Strong coordination, analytical, and communication abilities.
- Deep understanding of delivery cycles, project staffing, and hiring dependencies.

- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
- Mature and business-aware, with a focus on productivity and optimization.
