Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Planning, Environmental Consenting and Communities (PECC) to join our growing team at AtkinsR alis Global Technology Centre (GTC). This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in environmental planning, environmental assessment, sustainability, and infrastructure development.

As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced environmental consultants and multidisciplinary specialists, gain practical experience while contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects.

Your Role

- Assist in environmental planning and consenting activities through data collection, research, and baseline information reviews.
- Support the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Environmental baseline studies, and other planning & consenting documents.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Carry out desktop research, policy reviews, and data analysis to support project delivery.
- Assist in the preparation of GIS maps, environmental constraints plans, and spatial analysis dashboards and outputs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including ecology, transport planning, utilities, air quality, landscape, and other specialists.
- Support the implementation of environmental management and sustainability initiatives within projects.

About You

- Recently completed qualification in M.Tech in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering.
- Passionate about environmental sustainability and improving outcomes for communities and the environment.
- Eager to learn and develop technical and professional skills within a consulting setting.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with an interest in research and data interpretation.




- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications; in-depth experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS or QGIS), Power BI, or other digital tools.
- Adaptable, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
