Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Systems, Processes & Digital Transformation
- Build scalable HR infrastructure policies, org structure, SOPs and governance — capable of supporting a rapidly doubling workforce.
- Lead HR digitisation: drive selection and adoption of modern HRMS/payroll platforms (e.g. Keka, Zoho) and embed AI and automation into core people processes.
- Establish clean, audit-ready data, MIS and reporting fit for a listed company.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Structuring
- Manage high-volume hiring of 10+ people per month across engineering, production, quality, projects and support functions.
- Build capability for senior and leadership hiring (up to CXO level).
- Lead the transition of a large contract workforce (~50% of staff) onto the company payroll, with the associated structuring, cost and compliance planning.
Change Management & Employee Engagement
- Drive change management — overcoming resistance from long-tenured employees to recent software, systems and ways of working.
- Design a communication and engagement model that maintains a personal touch with blue-collar workers even as production decentralises to a new facility away from the corporate office.
- Mentor and upskill the existing HR team into a higher-capability function.
Compliance, T&D; and Cross-Functional Synergy
- Institute listing-grade compliance with zero tolerance for error across statutory, labour and governance requirements.
- Conduct training-needs analysis and build T&D; programmes that lift capability across the organisation.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration and synergy, positioning HR as a strategic partner to the business.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 15+ years in HR, with demonstrable experience managing rapid, high-growth scale-up in a manufacturing environment.
- Industry background: Manufacturing only — mandatory. Electrical / panel-board / engineering manufacturing exposure is a strong plus.
- Age: 40–45 years (indicative) — the balance of energy and maturity the role calls for.
- Capability: proven at building systems from the ground up, HR digitisation, and senior/leadership hiring.
- Attributes: assertive and able to drive change, grounded and approachable, high-energy, and a genuine people person comfortable from the shop floor to the boardroom.
Compensation
Rs 20–25 LPA, commensurate with experience and fit.
