Objective:
CAD Designer for home textiles, focused on the innovative design of Bathmats and Rugs for the UK and US export markets. Responsible for translating buyer briefs into detailed, manufacturable CAD designs that align with client expectations and market demands, while working collaboratively within the design team and managing projects independently. Brings advanced CAD proficiency, deep understanding of construction techniques and a commitment to innovation to drive original design solutions for international retail accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Stay proactively informed about the latest industry trends in Bathmats and Rugs, applying this knowledge to drive design innovation and position FTL products as leaders in the market.
- Interpret buyer briefs skillfully, integrating them into the design process to develop products aligned to client expectations and the demands of the UK and US markets.
- Apply advanced proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to produce detailed and manufacturable designs for Bathmats and Rugs, with a strong focus on technical accuracy and manufacturability.




- Apply deep understanding of construction techniques specific to Bathmats and Rugs including yarn selection, tufting and knitting to achieve the desired aesthetics and functionality, and ensure delivery of superior quality products.
- Lead Bathmat design innovation by introducing and applying groundbreaking ideas that expand and enrich the product range.
- Collaborate closely within the design team, promoting a culture of precision and creativity to achieve excellence in design and product development.

Job Specifications:
Educational Requirement: -

- Bachelor's degree in Textile Design from a reputed institution preferably Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai or other esteemed institute. Strong portfolio is mandatory.

Work Experience Requirement: -

- Minimum 3 years of experience in the creative textile field with a robust focus on innovative design preferably in home textiles. Hands-on experience and proficiency in CAD designs for home textiles is a fundamental requirement. Thorough understanding of tufting, knitting and textile production complexities, especially pertaining to Bathmats and Rugs. Proficient in design software (Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator) and Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
