Role & responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records in accordance with accounting standards
- and company policies.
- Record and verify day-to-day financial transactions.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records and supporting documents.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
2. Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Verify invoices, expense claims, and supporting documents.
- Track outstanding payables and coordinate with vendors for account confirmations.
- Maintain vendor ledgers and resolve discrepancies.
3. Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Monitor customer invoices and collections.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and ensure timely realization of payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and address billing-related queries.
- Prepare periodic ageing reports and collection status updates.
4. Banking Operations
- Manage daily banking transactions, fund transfers, and payment processing.
- Coordinate with banks for account-related matters and documentation.
- Monitor cash flows and maintain banking records.
- Ensure timely deposits, cheque management, and payment tracking.
5. Reconciliations & Reporting
- Perform bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, customer reconciliations, and ledger
- reconciliations.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly.
- Support preparation of MIS reports and finance-related data for management review.
- Assist in audit requirements by providing necessary schedules and documentation.
6. Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and statutory requirements.
- Support GST, TDS, and other finance-related compliance activities as required.
Preferred candidate profile
Education & Experience
- B.Com, M.Com, Inter CA (CA Intermediate Qualified), or equivalent qualification in Commerce, Finance,
- or Accounting.
- 35 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance operations.
- Robust understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, Tally ERP/Tally Prime, and MS
- Excel.
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), banking operations, reconciliations,
- and financial record management.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
- High attention to detail with excellent accuracy in financial transactions.
- Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional
- teams and the Mumbai Head Office finance team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
