About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Infrastructure Consultant to join our Technology Infrastructure Consulting practice. The role focuses on designing, assessing, and implementing resilient Data Center and Disaster Recovery (DC-DR) architectures for banking and financial services organizations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in infrastructure architecture, cloud platforms, disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and regulatory compliance. This role requires working closely with clients to develop scalable, secure, and regulator-compliant recovery solutions that ensure operational resilience and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Assessment & Strategy

- Assess existing data center, cloud, backup, and disaster recovery environments to identify risks, gaps, and optimization opportunities.
- Conduct infrastructure maturity assessments and recommend improvements aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
- Perform Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to identify critical applications, dependencies, and recovery priorities.
- Conduct risk assessments to evaluate threats, vulnerabilities, and operational impacts on business services.

DC-DR Architecture & Solution Design

- Design and implement scalable, resilient DC-DR architectures including:
Active-Active
- Active-Passive
- Hybrid Cloud DR
- Cloud-based Disaster Recovery models

- Define Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) aligned with business criticality and compliance requirements.
- Develop disaster recovery strategies for applications, databases, infrastructure, and enterprise platforms.
- Evaluate infrastructure readiness across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud environments.

Recovery Planning & Implementation

- Recommend and implement contemporary DR technologies including:
DR-as-a-Service (DRaaS)
- Cloud-native recovery solutions
- Replication technologies




- Backup and recovery platforms
- Site recovery orchestration tools

- Develop disaster recovery plans, runbooks, failover procedures, and operational recovery playbooks.
- Lead disaster recovery testing, simulation exercises, failover drills, and recovery validation activities.
- Ensure successful execution and continuous improvement of recovery processes.

Governance, Compliance & Advisory

- Develop architecture standards, governance frameworks, and DR policies.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, data residency requirements, and industry standards.
- Support audit readiness and regulatory reviews related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Provide strategic advisory services to client stakeholders on infrastructure resilience and business continuity planning.

Stakeholder Management

- Engage with business leaders, technology teams, infrastructure vendors, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Present architecture recommendations, risk findings, and recovery strategies to senior management.
- Support pre-sales activities, proposal development, and client workshops where required.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 58 years of experience in Technology Infrastructure, Data Center Operations, Disaster Recovery, or Infrastructure Consulting.
- Proven experience designing and implementing DC-DR solutions within Banking, Financial Services, or other regulated industries.
- Experience working in consulting engagements, transformation programs, or enterprise infrastructure projects.

- Experience with Hybrid Cloud and DR-as-a-Service (DRaaS) architectures.

Virtualization & Recovery Technologies

- VMware vSphere / vCenter
- Hyper-V
- Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
- Replication and orchestration tools

Networking & Security

- Strong understanding of network architecture and resiliency design.
- Knowledge of WAN connectivity, load balancing, failover mechanisms, and secure recovery environments.
