Supplier Network Development Establish and maintain a robust network of reliable steel suppliers with solid business relationships. Maintain steel mill capacity and developments
- Negotiation Conduct supplier negotiations to prevent overspending and secure favorable terms.
- Price Compliance Ensure strict adherence between quoted bid prices and actual purchase prices of raw materials.
- Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with PPC, QA/Technical Services, Contract Management, Finance, Store, Shipping and Exim team to execute procurement activities seamlessly.
- Consumption & Inventory Monitoring Track consumption patterns, wastage, and stock levels; ensure reconciliation post-order completion.
- Supply Expedition Monitor production at steel mills, expedite supplies, track shipments to meet manufacturing production schedules.
- Competency Development Build relevant knowledge of pipe-making processes to independently manage raw material procurement.
- Advisory Role to Mktg Provide raw material and consumable price insights to marketing for preparing tenders/Bids
