Visit vendors regularly to monitor production status, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and evaluate new vendors for machining, casting, fabrication, sheet metal, plastic, wire, and gear manufacturing.
- Source and manage vendors for raw materials and bought-out components.
- Track production progress at vendor locations and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Coordinate with vendors and the Quality team to resolve quality issues and reduce rejection rates.
- Support cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations and value engineering.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, lead times, and commercial conditions with vendors.
- Identify alternate and local suppliers to reduce procurement risk and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor outsourced manufacturing activities and ensure adherence to company standards.
- Maintain vendor documentation, audit records, agreements, and compliance documents.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports using Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Planning, and Quality departments for smooth material flow.
- Escalate critical supply issues and ensure timely resolution.
