The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Define enterprise architecture, target-state roadmaps, transition architectures, and technology modernization plans.
- Establish architecture principles, standards, governance models, reference architectures, and design review processes.
- Translate business strategy and client priorities into technology strategy, execution roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
- Advise clients on application modernization, cloud adoption, platform engineering, integration, data architecture, AI adoption, and operating model transformation.
- Lead architecture assessments across applications, infrastructure, data, integration, security, and cloud domains.
- Shape scalable, secure, and resilient solutions across hybrid cloud, SaaS, cloud-native, and modern application environments.
- Guide modernization using patterns such as API-first design, microservices, event-driven architecture, serverless, containers, edge computing, and composable platforms.
- Bring awareness of modern builder platforms and stacks such as Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node.js, Vercel, Supabase, PostgreSQL, APIs, serverless functions, vector search, and AI SDK patterns.
- Support AI-enabled transformation, including RAG, agentic workflows, copilots, model integration, data readiness, responsible AI, governance, and observability.
- Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to define product vision, MVP scope, user journeys, business cases, success metrics, and release roadmaps.
- Help clients decide what to build, buy, modernize, retire, automate, or scale.
- Lead strategic options analysis and present clear trade-offs across cost, risk, speed, scalability, resilience, and business value.
- Support RFPs, solution shaping, technical due diligence, architecture reviews, and executive presentations.
- Work with vendors, cloud providers, internal teams, and client stakeholders to ensure architecture decisions are practical and executable.
- Drive innovation through AI, automation, modern engineering practices, and emerging technologies.
- Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, compliance, scalability, resilience, performance,
maintainability, usability, and cost efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology, architecture, consulting, digital transformation, or large-scale IT modernization.
- Strong experience in enterprise architecture across business, application, data, technology, integration, cloud, and security domains.
- Experience defining target-state architectures, roadmaps, governance frameworks, standards, and architecture decision models.
- Strong understanding of hybrid cloud, public cloud, private cloud, infrastructure modernization, application hosting, security, and operations.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with modern software architecture, including APIs, microservices, web services, messaging, event-driven patterns, and service-oriented architecture.
- Familiarity with modern application stacks and developer platforms such as Java, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, React, Next.js, Vercel, Supabase, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD tooling.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications from on-premise environments to cloud, hybrid, SaaS, or platform-based architectures.
- Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, or equivalent.
- Understanding of AI application architecture, including embeddings, vector search, RAG, model orchestration, prompt management, agentic workflows, AI governance, and responsible AI.
- Robust product thinking, including MVP definition, backlog prioritization, user journeys, value cases, adoption metrics, and product roadmaps.
- Ability to develop business cases, transformation roadmaps, architecture blueprints, and executive-level recommendations.
- Strong consulting, stakeholder management, presentation, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams across architecture, engineering, product, security, infrastructure, data, and operations.
Preferred Skills
- 5+ years experience in banking or financial services.
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Open Agile Architecture, SAFe, domain-driven design, capability modeling, and value-stream mapping
- Experience in Enterprise Architecture Tools like Mega Hopex, ABACUS, Orbus, Planview, etc.
- Experience with platform engineering, internal developer platforms, DevSecOps, observability, FinOps, and site reliability practices.
- Experience advising clients on build-vs-buy decisions, operating model design, vendor evaluation, and technology investment prioritization.
- Exposure to product discovery, rapid prototyping, Figma, analytics, experimentation, feature flags, and AI-assisted software development.
- Relevant certifications in enterprise architecture, cloud, agile, product management, AI, data, cybersecurity, or DevSecOps are desirable.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics Communication Engineering, or equivalent.
- MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc., or equivalent postgraduate qualification is acceptable.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is desirable.
