Job Title - Application Database Support Engineer (Oracle SQL/PLSQL)

Location : Mumbai

Job Summary

We are looking for an Application Database Support Engineer to support and maintain Oracle database applications. The role involves troubleshooting production issues, developing and optimizing SQL/PLSQL code, performing database performance tuning, monitoring application health, and ensuring data integrity and system availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L2/L3 production support for Oracle database applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database and application-related issues.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- Perform SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.
- Analyze execution plans and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Execute data fixes, patches, and database deployments.




- Monitor database health and ensure high application availability.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents.
- Prepare RCA documents and maintain technical documentation.
- Follow ITIL processes and support SLAs.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of Oracle Database.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience in Application/Production Support.
- SQL Query Optimization and Database Performance Tuning.
- Execution Plan Analysis and Index Optimization.
- Oracle SQL Developer or TOAD.
- Basic Unix/Linux knowledge.
- Experience with ServiceNow, JIRA, or similar ticketing tools.
