Purpose of the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sustainability & Energy Management Lead Assessor to evaluate and verify client Management Systems against international standards including ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 14064 (1,2,3), GHG Protocol, ESG frameworks, and related schemes. The role supports certification decisions, delivers high-quality assessments and reports, promotes BSI solutions, and delivers public and in-house traininghelping clients improve performance, manage risk, and Make Excellence a Habit.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial, surveillance, and recertification assessments using a risk-based approach in line with ISO 19011
- Lead and manage assessment teams; mentor and coach assessors
- Review client documentation, corrective actions, and verification evidence
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to plan assessments and travel
- Deliver qualified assessment reports and certification recommendations
- Deliver public and in-house training aligned to BSI standards

Knowledge, Skills & Experience




- Strong knowledge of ISO 14064 (1,2,3), GHG Protocol, ESG frameworks (preferably GRI), carbon neutrality and net zero
- Experience in GHG inventories, BRSR data collection, sustainability and ESG reporting
- Understanding of assurance standards (ISO 14064-3:2019, ISAE 3000)
- Experience with energy management systems and energy efficiency projects
- Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently, manage workload remotely, and meet deadlines
- Proven capability to design and deliver training across varied audiences

Essential Requirements
- Working knowledge of ISO 14064 (1,2,3), GHG Protocol, SEBI-BRSR reporting
- ESG reporting using GRI standards
- ISO 50001 Lead Auditor qualification
- Experience in the energy efficiency sector

Desirable:
- BEE Accredited Energy Auditor
