Merchandiser cum Order Coordinator
Own every order from the moment a mill PO is raised to the moment the fabric is dispatched to the
customer the single person accountable that nothing falls between "ordered" and "delivered."
Location: Mumbai with periodic mill travel to Ludhiana / Surat
Reports to: Director, Viraj Mehta
Experience: 36 years in textile / apparel merchandising or fabric trading
What You'll Do
Follow up with mills in Ludhiana, Surat, and Mumbai on open POs production status, greige, dyeing,
printing, delivery timelines. Push when they slip.
Maintain the PO tracker as the single source of truth on mill order status. No order untracked.
¢ Run the daily dispatch-order intake: every customer order that comes in gets confirmed into the pending-order
system before it reaches the warehouse.
¢ Close the loop daily reconcile what was ordered against what was dispatched, and own the 7 PM
pending-orders report. Anything still open at day-end is yours to explain and clear.




¢ Coordinate between sales (showroom / client side), the Bhiwandi warehouse, and Dadar billing so orders
move without the Director having to chase.
Must Have
¢ Hands-on textile merchandising or fabric trading experience knits preferred.
¢ Comfortable reading fabric specs (GSM, dia, colour, construction) and talking production with mills.
¢ Disciplined with trackers and follow-ups this role lives or dies on consistency, not heroics.
¢ Fluent Hindi + working English. Gujarati a plus.
¢ Comfortable on WhatsApp-based and straightforward digital tools.
Nice to Have
¢ Existing mill relationships in Ludhiana / Surat knit clusters.
¢ Experience setting up or running an order-tracking process.
What Success Looks Like in 90 Days
Director no longer manually tracks which orders are pending. Zero missed dispatches. Mill follow-ups happen
without prompting.
