About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Transportation & Logistics leader to drive end-to-end transportation strategy, logistics operations, freight procurement, fleet management, and customer solutions across our supply chain network. The role requires a strategic leader who can optimize transportation costs, strengthen 3PL partnerships, improve service levels, and build scalable logistics solutions for enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation Operations

- Lead end-to-end transportation operations across PAN India.
- Develop transportation strategies to improve efficiency, service levels, and cost optimization.
- Drive network optimization, route planning, and freight cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to transportation SLAs and regulatory compliance.

Business Development & Customer Solutions

- Drive business development for transportation and 3PL solutions.
- Engage with enterprise customers across Manufacturing, FMCG, Pharma, Retail, E-commerce, Steel, Cement, and Industrial sectors.
- Lead RFQs, RFPs, commercial proposals, solution design, and customer onboarding.
- Work closely with Sales teams to develop customized logistics solutions.

Fleet & Carrier Management

- Develop fleet acquisition and utilization strategies.
- Manage relationships with transporters, carriers, OEMs, and logistics partners.
- Improve fleet utilization, vehicle uptime, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Drive technology adoption including GPS, telematics, and Transport Management Systems (TMS).

Procurement & Vendor Management





- Lead transportation procurement and strategic sourcing.
- Negotiate freight contracts and commercial agreements.
- Build a high-performing vendor ecosystem with defined KPIs.
- Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews and cost benchmarking.

Supply Chain Excellence

- Optimize logistics network and warehouse connectivity.
- Improve inventory movement, freight visibility, and delivery performance.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies.
- Mitigate supply chain risks through contingency planning and proactive monitoring.

Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Sales, Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Customer Success.
- Build strategic partnerships with logistics providers and enterprise customers.
- Present operational reviews, cost-saving initiatives, and performance dashboards to senior leadership.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience

- 1825 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or 3PL operations.
- Robust experience in transportation operations, freight procurement, fleet management, and logistics strategy.
- Experience working with Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail, E-commerce, Steel, Cement, or Engineering sectors.
- Exposure to business development and logistics solution selling will be an added advantage.

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/Engineering or related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM or Post Graduate qualification in Supply Chain/Logistics preferred.
