Education/Certifications/Licenses

- Bachelor of Architecture
- Masters, Architecture is a plus

Experience: Total: 16 to 18 years

- 3 to 5 years (inclusive of 3 years working with licensed architect)
- 10 years of experience with residential design and production in a leadership role managing others.
- Experience must include working on staff for a residential builder, ideally 5+ years working for a large construction builder.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management

- Support business goals by managing teams and monitoring weekly workloads considering focus on quality and on-time delivery.
- Act as unified liaison between in-house architecture and corporate team leaders.
- Continually improve and maintain continuity of communication and documentation in Design teams.
- Manage outside vendors as required.
- Develop and maintain excellent partnerships across the Projects Team.

Functional Strategy





- Oversee the production of architectural drawings for all divisions and ensure on-time delivery to the divisions.
- Manage group to provide on time delivery of review drawing.
- Determine and execute on best solutions for construction issues that relate to architectural and builder services needs.
- Coordinate and delegate frame walk schedules and attend frame walks as required and prepare frame walk notes.

Design

- Utilize company-performed market research surveys to guide and dictate in design plans.
- Actively lead and support architecture staff in the development of plans, starting with the market surveys through the DRB (Design Review Board) Package.

Responsible for providing design direction for floorplans and exterior elevations
