We are seeking an experienced Lead Design Engineer Process for our Design Consulting business. The role involves leading process engineering activities for industrial projects from Concept, FEED, Basic Engineering, and Detailed Engineering through project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead process engineering and design activities for industrial, chemical, specialty chemical, FMCG, battery manufacturing, and related projects.
- Develop and review Process Design Basis, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs;, Heat & Material Balances, Utility Calculations, Equipment Datasheets, and Process Specifications.
- Perform process calculations, equipment sizing, hydraulic calculations, line sizing, and utility system design.
- Review vendor documents and provide process engineering support during procurement and project execution.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Project Management teams.
- Lead HAZOP, safety reviews, risk assessments, and process optimization studies.




- Manage engineering deliverables, project schedules, and manpower planning.
- Mentor and guide a team of process engineers and designers.
- Interface with clients, licensors, and vendors for technical discussions and project execution.

Requirements

- BE/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
- 13–18 years of experience in Process Design Engineering within a design consulting/engineering consultancy environment.
- Solid experience in Concept, FEED, Basic and Detailed Engineering projects.
- Experience in Chemical, Specialty Chemical, FMCG, Industrial, Energy, Battery Manufacturing, or related sectors.
- Hands-on experience in process calculations, equipment sizing, utility systems, and process safety studies.
- Exposure to HAZOP, PFDs, P&IDs;, Heat & Material Balance, and process simulation tools.
- Proven experience in leading teams and handling client interactions.
