Job Description Lead engineer- QA(Payments Domain)

Location: Noida
Shift: 1 PM – 10 PM IST

Designation : Deputy Engineering Manager QA

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Test Lead to drive end-to-end testing strategy and execution for a payment platform. The role involves leading QA efforts across payment workflows, integrations, and ensuring high-quality, secure, and compliant releases.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Leadership

- Define and implement test strategy, test plans, and QA processes
- Lead a team of QA engineers across multiple PODs
- Drive shift-left testing and automation adoption

Functional & Domain Testing

- Validate end-to-end payment flows:
- Payment initiation
- Authorization
- Clearing & settlement
- Reconciliation

- Ensure coverage across:

- Bank transfers / ACH

Integration Testing

- Test integrations with:
- Payment gateways
- Core banking systems
- Third-party APIs

Non-Functional Testing

- Performance & load testing (high TPS systems)




- Security & compliance validation (PCI-DSS)

Automation & Tools

- Drive test automation frameworks (UI + API)
- Integrate QA into CI/CD pipelines
- Improve regression cycle efficiency

Defect & Release Management

- Own defect triage and prioritization
- Collaborate with Dev, Product, and Ops teams
- Provide go-live sign-off based on quality metrics

Required Skills

Technical Skills

- Solid knowledge of:
- API testing (Postman, REST)
- Automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
- Performance tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)

Domain Expertise (Must Have)

- Hands-on experience in Payments domain, including:
- Payment lifecycle (Auth Capture Settlement)
- ISO 8583 (for card transactions)
- ACH / UPI / SWIFT basics
