- Manage and supervise the treatment of critically ill patients in the CCU.
- Conduct daily patient rounds and develop treatment plans.
- Perform and supervise emergency procedures such as:
- Endotracheal intubation
- Central venous catheter insertion
- Arterial line placement
- Mechanical ventilator management
- CPR and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)

- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment based on clinical status.
- Coordinate with specialists (cardiology, neurology, nephrology, surgery, etc.) for multidisciplinary care.
- Supervise resident doctors, medical officers, nurses, and allied healthcare staff.
- Ensure infection control practices and patient safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Counsel patients' families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, morbidity and mortality meetings, and clinical training.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and ethical guidelines.
- Be available for emergency situations and provide leadership during critical events.
