About the Role:

UniTracko is looking for a Data & Research Lead to own the data that powers our product working directly with the Founder to shape what data we build, how we build it, and how we keep it accurate as we scale.

This is a senior, hands-on ownership role. You'll set the strategy and roll up your sleeves: designing scraping and collection systems, building repeatable processes, keeping quality high, and turning the Founder's vision into a reliable, growing dataset. Over time, you'll help build and lead a small data team beneath you.

What you'll do

- Work directly with the Founder to define what data UniTracko needs and prioritise how to build it
- Own the end-to-end data strategy: sourcing, scraping, collection, compilation, and curation
- Design and build scalable, repeatable systems and processes for collecting and updating data from the web
- Set and enforce data quality standards accuracy, completeness, freshness, de-duplication
- Lead industry and market research to identify and build the right datasets
- Build the workflows and tooling so data quality holds up as volume grows
- Hire, mentor, and lead a small data/research team as we scale
- Partner with product, ops,



and sales to make sure the data serves real business needs

What we're looking for

- 4-8 years in data operations, data research, data collection/scraping, or a similar data-building role
- A track record of building datasets from scratch not just maintaining or reporting on them
- Strong hands-on skills in web scraping and data extraction at scale (tools and/or code)
- Working knowledge of Python and SQL for collection, cleaning, and automation
- Deep command of Excel / Google Sheets and data-structuring best practices
- A research and market-intelligence mindset knows how to find and build data that matters
- Process-builder and owner: designs systems, sets standards, and works with minimal direction
- Comfortable working shoulder-to-shoulder with a Founder in a quick, evolving environment

Nice to have

- Experience building or managing data pipelines / automated collection systems
- Experience hiring or leading a small data or research team
- Edtech, B2B SaaS, or data-product background
- Familiarity with data-validation / QA frameworks at scale
