Analyse rock mechanics to ensure the stability of dams, pressure shafts, and large underground caverns
Designing support systems (rock bolts, shotcrete etc) for headrace tunnels, tailrace tunnels, and underground caverns.
Assess hazards such as landslides, seismic activity, and slope instability, designing stabilization and grouting measures
Monitoring slope stability and deep excavations for powerhouses to prevent failures
Use of specialized geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS etc) to model foundations and earthworks.
Prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and align all designs with relevant codes
Qualifications
Master s degree in Geotechnical Engineering
0- 5 Years of experience in Geotechnical studies (Hydropower related)
Good understanding of soil/rock mechanics, slope stability, and foundation engineering
Familiarity with PLAXIS and other related software is a must.
Solid skill in interpreting geotechnical investigation reports.
